A 300 level student of the Lagos state University has allegedly died as a result of using a fake/expired inhaler which he bought from a pharmacy.
The student Union body of the school has however released a press statement as regards the incident, which is below:

_It is with a heavy heart that we received the demise of one of our students. We are all saddened at the untimely demise of Dominic, a 300-level student of the Department of History and International Studies, Faculty of art on Monday, 18th July 2022._
_In the report gathered from his roommate, “Dominic was asthmatic and bought his Inhaler from a pharmacy, had a crisis last night (Sunday, 17th July 2022) which led to him being rushed to a nearby hospital and was pronounced dead upon arrival. The roommate argued that the inhaler was either fake or expired. This escalated to friends taking the owners of the pharmacy this afternoon (Monday, 18th July) to police at the Adoff bus stop”._
_The leadership of the Lagos State University Students’ Union led by Comrade Adelakun Adeoye Moses responded swiftly to the situation at Adoff Police station and the following resolution was made:_
• *Immediate closure of the pharmacy till the investigation is concluded.*
• *Prompt investigation of the inhaler.*
• *The autopsy report of the deceased.*
_The Lagos State University Students’ Union and the student community are sending their thoughts and prayers to the family of Dominic and the Department of History and International Studies._
