After ending their 8-year partnership with the retail banking firm that had brought in €17 million annually in naming rights, La Liga will no longer be known as the La Liga Santander.

According to Football Espana, La Liga and EA Sports have reached an agreement for the next five years that is estimated to be worth roughly €40 million.
After acquiring the naming rights from La Liga, the video game firm will be known as EA Sports for the Primera, Segunda, and Promises divisions as well as the eSports league.
EA Sports, widely known in Europe for creating the popular football game FIFA, has broke ties with the governing body of the sport and will now market the title as EA Sports FC.
