UNILAG to commence 2022/2023 POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE on 17th of OCT.

Beginning on October 17 and running until November 4, 2022, the University of Lagos will accept online applications for its undergraduate admission screening process for ALL courses and programs for the 2022–2023 academic year.



Candidates who declared University of Lagos as their first choice in the UTME for 2022 and received a score of 200 or higher are eligible for screening. Candidates must also have earned five (5) credit passes in appropriate O’level courses, including English language and mathematics, in a single sitting.


Candidates who won’t be sixteen (16) by October 31, 2022 are ineligible and do not need to apply.


Former University students whose admission was withdrawn due to poor academic standing or an absence status may reapply with the requirement that the new admission be for a new program/course distinct from the previous program/course. No student who has been expelled from the university is eligible for re-admission.






  • The following actions should be taken after logging onto the University of Lagos website at www.unilag.edu.ng by eligible candidates:
  • Select Admissions.
  • Select Start New Application.
  • Application for Undergraduate Studies
  • Username: UTME number; password: lowercase version of the user’s last name.
  • the creation and printing of payment advise
  • To make a payment, visit any commercial bank or pay online.
  • Return to the University website’s application portal.
  • To finish the application for admission, click Continue Application.
  • To ensure the accuracy of the data you have entered, click Preview. Then click Submit.

For undergraduate admission in 2022–2023, the university won’t hold a post–UTME. The WAEC/GCE/NECO/Cambridge O’level exam results and confirmed JAMB test scores supplied to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System will serve as the basis for admission screening (CAPS).

Candidates are recommended to properly follow the rules and seek out any clarifications that are required.


Drug abuse is not tolerated at the university. When the University administers the test, whether before or after registration, it shall revoke the admission of newly admitted students who test positive for drug abuse.
